Tourists flock to Holland for Tulip Time Festival

The 95th Tulip Time Festival in Holland is currently underway, attracting around 500,000 visitors over the course of eight days. Visitors from both the local community and around the world come to enjoy the flowers, art, food, and entertainment that the festival has to offer. This year's theme is Bike and Blooms, celebrating the bicycle as a Dutch cultural icon, with new events such as Pedals at the Park showcasing tulip-themed sculptures made from recycled parts. The Tulip Time Festival continues through Mother’s Day. How does the saying go, “If you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much”? 🤷♂️
Millions of Honeybees return to West Michigan
Business was buzzing at The Great Lakes Bee Company in Fremont, Michigan, as backyard and commercial beekeepers picked up honeybees on Saturday for the pollination season. Owner Genji LeClair expressed his passion for beekeeping and the importance of protecting bees for agricultural crops like blueberries and apples. The United States has seen a 31% increase in bee colonies from 2017 to 2022, with hobbyists playing a key role in the honeybee's comeback. Support your local beekeeper; raw honey is a superfood! Lions fan who trolled Packers’ gets game-worn cleats
Kerby Joseph, Detroit Lions safety, connected with a fan on social media during the 2024 NFL draft. The fan, Kizito Katende, laughed at his friend, a Green Bay Packers fan, on national TV when the Packers selected a player. Joseph sent Katende a care package with game-worn cleats, an autographed trading card, and a note in response. It’s a great feeling finally being on the laughing side when it comes to the Packers. More to the story here.
